ComBOS Data Privacy Notice
Last updated: October 2026
ComBOS (“we”, “us”) operates combosph.com, a community marketplace for nearby stores, farm products, and local sellers in the Philippines. This notice explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data, in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
1. What we collect
• Account details: name, email, mobile number, password (stored as a hash), barangay, and optional map location.
• Seller and KYC records: store information, government ID images, and a selfie holding your ID so we can verify identity.
• Orders and payments: items purchased, delivery or pickup details, listing credits, and related transaction history.
• Messages you send through ComBOS (we may block messages that share off-platform contact details).
• Device and usage data needed to keep you signed in, show nearby stores, and keep the service secure.
2. How we use it
We use personal data to create and protect your account, show nearby stores, process orders, calculate delivery, verify sellers, prevent fraud and abuse, send service notices, and comply with law. Location is used to find nearby stores and estimate delivery — you can update or clear it in Account.
3. Who we share it with
We share only what is needed: store owners see order and delivery details for their sales; delivery partners see addresses needed to complete a drop-off; admins see KYC files to review sellers. We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users from fraud or harm.
4. How long we keep it
We keep account, order, and KYC records while your account is active and as long as needed for orders, disputes, credits, and legal duties. You may ask us to disable or delete your account. Some order history may be retained if it is needed to keep another party’s records intact.
5. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission. Use Account settings or contact the ComBOS admin to make a request.
6. Security
We use signed-in sessions, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Please keep your password private.
7. Children
ComBOS is intended for users 18 years and older (or with a parent or guardian if local law allows a younger user to contract).
8. Changes
We may update this notice. The version number and date will change when we do. Continued use after you accept a new version means you agree to the updated notice.
